IN THE BEGINING: The date was May 12, 1994 when 15 people gathered to establish the Friendship Community Church in St Petersburg Florida. There was a very strong feeling that God would build this new Church.
On June 6, 1994, the Founders voted to take the necessary steps to begin a new church based on faith in Christ as Lord and Savior with a different kind of organization than they had ever before known. Thus, the name Friendship Community Church came into existence.
The first worship service was held July 17, 1994. One hundred twenty people attended the first worship.
Throughout our present 16 years this Church has continued to offer the community and visitors a sound structure in the nondenominational structure created within the Congregational Christian Churches. Everyone is welcome to worship at this Friendship Community Church.
Church Music Director: Gene Cipriano has been a part of Friendship Community Church from the start. He came with an unbelievable gift in within the field of music. He is continually available for special services as weddings and funerals as needed
